About Us

Brad and Brent Steven opened their first restaurant and bar, Backstage Bar & Grill, in Wichita, Kansas in October 2004. Mentored by the owner of a neighboring comedy club, the brothers worked every position in the business from the start — a ground-up approach that shaped how they have operated every venture since.

Three years later, they purchased Club Indigo, a rock bar in one of Wichita's most popular bar districts. They rebranded it around the club scene, bringing in DJs from across the country, and eventually completed a major remodel that included an expanded rooftop bar. The concept was renamed Industry Old Town and ran successfully enough that the brothers were able to purchase the real estate itself in the historic district. In 2021, they rebranded the venue again as O'Larney's, an Irish pub that operates in the same building today.

In 2010, Brad and Brent opened Mike's Wine Dive, building it into a restaurant with the largest wine selection in Wichita. It was an immediate success, earning Best Wine List in Wichita and a Restaurant Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator — at the time, one of only two restaurants in the city to win the distinction. After establishing the concept, the brothers rebranded it simply as Wine Dive. In 2016, it was upgraded to a Best of Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator, a recognition held by roughly 1,000 restaurants across 75 countries worldwide. The restaurant operates today as Wine Dive + Kitchen.

In 2013, Brad and Brent opened The Hill Bar and Grill, designed around the largest beer selection in Wichita. The Hill has earned multiple local awards, including Best Sports Bar and Best Bar and Grill.

In August 2017, they purchased the assets of a long-standing wine bar and restaurant in Manhattan, Kansas, reopening it as Wine Dive + Kitchen. In its first year under their ownership, it earned a Best of Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator. Only four restaurants in the state of Kansas hold that distinction — Brad and Brent own two of them.

In 2018, they opened Vora Restaurant European in Wichita, the group's highest-end concept. The restaurant features a large patio and two private dining rooms, and its European-focused wine program has earned the Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator.

In September 2022, the brothers purchased a property in the historic Massachusetts Street district in Lawrence, Kansas, opening their third Wine Dive + Kitchen location. The Lawrence restaurant features a full-service bar, a craft cocktail menu, an expanded wine list, a large outdoor patio, and a private dining room. Bringing the Wine Dive concept to a new college-town market has allowed the brothers to grow their footprint while becoming part of the local Lawrence community.

In December 2022, Brad and Brent partnered with longtime friend Brian Carduff to form 3B Lodge, the operating entity for the group's Twin Peaks franchise expansion. Their first deal acquired five Twin Peaks locations across Wichita and Kansas City. Twin Peaks is known for wall-to-wall coverage of major sporting events, a wide selection of ice-cold draft beers, and a made-from-scratch kitchen.

In December 2024, 3B Lodge expanded further with the acquisition of two Twin Peaks restaurants in Oklahoma City and one in Rogers, Arkansas. In February 2026, the group opened a new Twin Peaks location in Omaha, Nebraska — bringing the total franchise count to nine across Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Nebraska.

The group continues to explore new territories and concepts. Stay tuned.

Brad Steven is co-founder of Steven Hospitality Group, the Wichita-based operator behind Wine Dive + Kitchen, Vora Restaurant European, The Hill Bar and Grill, O'Larney's, and nine Twin Peaks franchise locations across Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Nebraska.

Brad began his hospitality career managing health clubs before opening his first restaurant, Backstage Bar & Grill, with his brother Brent in Wichita in 2004. Over the next two decades, the brothers grew the group from a single bar to a multi-concept operator known for serious wine programs and an emphasis on hospitality.

Brad's interest in wine emerged in those early years and led him to study formally through the Court of Master Sommeliers, where he became a Certified Sommelier in 2014. He earned the French Wine Scholar designation from the Wine Scholar Guild in 2016 and is a Certified Specialist of Wine through the Society of Wine Educators. He travels regularly through France and Italy, with annual trips to wine regions across the Mediterranean, and continues to oversee the wine programs and team training across SHG's restaurants.

Brad is a member of the Société Mondiale du Vin USA and serves as Vice-Conseiller Gastronomique of La Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Wichita Bailliage.
